• Proportional betting: Bet a fixed % of current bankroll (e.g., 3%). Automatically scales down during losing streaks and up during winning streaks
• Kelly staking: Optimal bet size = (edge / odds). If you estimate 30% win probability at 4-1 odds: Kelly = (0.30 × 5 - 1) / (5 - 1) = 12.5% of bankroll. Most pros use “fractional Kelly” (half or quarter Kelly) to reduce variance
• Session management: Set stop-loss (e.g., -40% of daily bankroll) and stop-win (e.g., +100%) targets. When either hits, walk away
• Track your ROI by bet type — most players find they’re profitable in one or two bet types and losing in others. Double down on your strengths
